C.E. Rose was one of the original 4 owners of bb. He came to the Cave of The Candles [an E.Lans restaurant] through his connection with Jay Alpert. He was the first bartender at the Cave and possibly the finest and fastest bartender I have known. If you waited at the bar for a table when C.E. was tending, you became a regular customer. Presently living in California. You could take C.E. out of Bakersfield but couldn't take Bakersfield out of C.E.
