Beggar’s Banquet

Founded in 1973 and named for proprietor Bob Adlers Favorite Rolling Stones Album, this locally-owned brunch restaurant and saloon in East Lansing, Michigan caters to an eclectic crowd, looking for elegant dining in a casual atmosphere.

Located about 4 minutes from Michigan State University, Beggar’s Banquet is a great place for both students and visitors to the area. Our features locally sourced ingredients, fresh seafood dishes, Italian classics, and American favorites like burgers and pizza.

With an extensive wine list and rotating craft beers on tap, the Beggar’s Banquet’s atmosphere is a decidedly unique experience. Come on in and enjoy a nice glass of wine on Wednesday and return on a Saturday to find that rare stout and an entirely new list of brews.

And indeed, the menu offers comfort food with a twist of elegance. Even an American classic, such as macaroni and cheese, gets a Beggar’s kick start with a special blend of Münster, Havarti and smoked Gouda cheeses. This is a brunch restaurant menu that has it all, from a Santa Fe crumbled chorizo omelet for  breakfast to an upscale seared salmon for dinner.

The home-style elegance evident in the menu carries through to the atmosphere, making Beggar’s Banquet a destination hotspot for breakfast with the family, a dinner date or a night out with friends.

Any occasion, whether it be a first date night, birthday celebration, baby or bridal shower, we have a private room available to accommodate. Give us a call for availability.
